HSBC UK partnered with British Cycling with a mission to get 2 million people back on their bike. The issue? Many lapsed cyclists feel there are too many barriers stopping them from getting back on a bike: it’s always raining, it’s too dangerous to ride at night or they just don’t know what bike is the right one for them. To show customers that cycling is more accessible than ever, we created a set of in-branch communications that not only raise awareness but also becomes a utility towards getting back on a saddle. Leaflets that are also reflective stickers, so you can ride in the dark. FSDU’s that help people discover the right frame size and A4 handouts – printed on a resistant material – that popped out and turned into rear fenders, so cyclists can ride safely in the rain. Each communication piece had its own way to encourage people to give a second chance to cycling.
